In the dynamic change of market opportunities, our company got the opportunity to develop a plastic part for an IOT smart device from a Canadian company. The early experimental stage of this product was promoted by a large international manufacturer, but it was clear that it could not meet the strict requirements of the customer. The customer put forward strict performance and appearance standards for the product: the structure must have high impact strength, the appearance must be exquisite and beautiful, and it is particularly emphasized that the injection molded product must not have a melt line. After careful analysis by our technical team, it was confirmed that the most ideal gate position can only be set at the mark (gate) in the figure below. However, the product has a long box single opening structure (as shown in the figure below). During the injection molding process, the mold is very susceptible to deformation due to the impact of injection pressure. Faced with this complex challenge, our technical developers actively communicated and cooperated closely with customers, using cutting-edge finite element analysis technology and adopting an innovative way of rapid experimental molds. In less than 30 days, they successfully obtained accurate mold deformation data. Subsequently, these key data were imported into the design and manufacturing links of the formal mass production mold, laying a solid foundation for the rapid and successful delivery of the product.
